What’s happening in your neighborhood

The Front Range Circle Natural Gas Project (project) includes installing new natural gas lines, new natural gas service lines that serve individual properties and new natural gas meters throughout the Front Range Manufactured Housing Community in Broomfield, Colorado. This project is being completed at the request of the community’s property management company.

This work allows us to install system upgrades and continue to provide safe, reliable natural gas service throughout the community.

As crews complete work on this project, homes will begin receiving natural gas through the newly installed lines and will begin to see natural gas billing on their Xcel Energy bill under the same account as their electricity bill. No actions are needed by the account holder for natural gas billing to be added to your account.

Schedule

Construction is expected to begin in June 2025 and continue through summer 2026.

Crews will work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In certain circumstances, crews may work evenings, nights or weekends.

We work as safely and efficiently as possible to reduce impacts to your community. Schedules are subject to change.

Construction impacts

During work, you may notice:

Marking of utility lines and utility survey holes.
Road and sidewalk closures.
Traffic control.
Parking restrictions.
Temporary changes to access.
Construction noise.

We install natural gas line by open trenching and boring.

Boring uses a specialized machine to create an underground pathway through which the natural gas line is pulled or drilled.
Open trenching involves digging a trench and placing the natural gas line in the trench.

Please alert traffic control if you need to access a location within a road, sidewalk or alley closure during construction.

We will restore work areas to conditions required by permits as weather allows. Work areas may be left temporarily restored after construction until we can complete final restoration.
